Where to Start Playing

Want to go all in (or at least dip your toe in), but not sure where to start? John Caldwell filled us in on three of the most popular online poker sites. -J.S.

PokerStars (pokerstars.com): Known for great tournament play, PokerStars also offers “the toughest tournament competition in the world, so you’re going against the best right off the bat,” describes Caldwell.

Full Tilt (fulltiltpoker.com): “Full Tilt’s strength is sort of across the board. They really have fantastic depth,” Caldwell explains. “At the upper end of the cash game spectrum, Full Tilt is probably the strongest site.”

Bodog (bodoglife.com): “Bodog has a very casual, relaxed, chatty type of environment,” says Caldwell. “I think that a lot of people who enjoy playing for the social aspect enjoy playing there.”
