Even when traveling with my phone, I rent a local phone from www.cellphonerental.com
This has become the most useful tool for me in order to maintain fluid contact with locals and also for receiving all incoming calls(specially if free). Do you find this valuable?

I do the same thing and have rented from many companies and the one I like best is phonerentalusa.com
