1800 Hotels Refusing to Refund

I made a reservation with 1800 Hotels and then subsequently cancelled it over a week before the date of the reservation. They company requires at least 3 days notice. Now they have refused to refund me the 100% of the reservation that they took from me. I am having difficulty finding the e-mail I sent them though I had called them at the time as well. What course can I take? 4  out of 7 found this valuable. Do you?

They state in their terms and conditions that there's a 20% fee they keep if you cancel. You can buy their $10 cancellation policy when you book to allow you to cancel without this fee. It's worth it, just consider it part of the cost of the room when comparing to others. 6  out of 7 found this valuable. Do you?

I bought the "1800flex" insurance and they STILL refuse to refund the 20%. In essence the insurance only incrrased their revenue, after two months of battling they still refuse to honor their insurance policy.
