United and American new business class
Jul 30 2007, 10:46 PM EDT Well your question hit the mule square between the eyes on avoiding domestic carriers for oversea flights and using the foreign flag carriers instead. United, AA, NWA and Delta business class are horrible and outdated. I tell people to always take a European or Asian Carrier when going overseas. You get superior service, better food and a much more comfortable seat. Typically one that reclines fully and is not dirty from a previous flight or broken. I find the domestic carriers are typically so far priced above the European carriers that you would be a fool to pay 2-3K more for a substandard airline experience. American by far has the worst business class seats and even the ones that are upgraded are cramped and recline at such an angle that you slip downwards when the seat is flat. I would like AA and United to work on remodeling their filthly bathrooms in Business and First before they focus on the seats. If they can't get a bathroom to not smell like a public bathroom why would I trust them to install real seats worth the 4-5K price tag. I never think twice on an AF, BA or CP flight as to whether or not they will have clean bathrooms that stay clean. Do you find this valuable? |
