Will you use new "very light jet" air taxis?
Oct 8 2007, 9:51 AM EDT Travelers will soon see a wave of new, low-cost air taxi services from operators using new “very light jets” (see this week’s story). Does your travel budget permit air taxi flights? If you could book an air taxi on a per-seat basis, would you use them? And if so, how much of a premium over full coach fare on commercial airlines would you (or your company) be willing to pay? Post your comments here. Do you find this valuable? |

RE: Will you use new "very light jet" air taxis?
Oct 8 2007, 3:59 PM EDT Not for personal use. I can only see corporate groups using them, given the cost of a crew and operating cost per flying hour, as they will not be competitive. Also, these jets may have be confined to smaller, limited use airports, due to air traffic control constraints at larger airports. If you go to gao.gov, search for "air traffic control," the second entry, is full report on these light jets, albeit, somewhat positive. Do you find this valuable? |
